Favorite National/International Performers
Capercaillie -- I first heard about this band in Scotland -- before their recordings were available in the states. Since then, I've seen them playing at some Chicagoland Celtic festivals. I'm so crazy about this group I have just about every one of their disks.

Natalie MacMaster
I first heard about Natalie MacMaster from a friend (Hi Tom!) who heard her at a Highland Game. I've heard her perform many times and have never been disappointed. Her uncle is the famous Cape Briton violinist Buddy MacMaster and her husband the famous violinist Leahy.

Loreena McKinnett -- I accidentally learned about McKinnett by purchasing a used CD. I have every one of her disks, too, and was lucky enough to see her in Chicago years ago. The concert was amazing. I loved the collection of unusual instruments, the atmosphere of the concert as well as McKinnett's integrity! I can't wait for her next disk. Canadian Musician.
